About Me

My Photo
DFW metro, Texas, United States
I was born in Dallas, Tx and other than living in California a couple of times, I have always lived in Tx. I am married to a wonderful man, MJ. I have two great daughters, Dee and Melanie. And two grandsons, Dylan and Tyler, who I love to have come visit. MJ has a great son Shaun who lives in Indiana, married to Julie and has our only granddaughter, at the moment, Kennah. I have 2 dogs. Max is a 105 lb English Lab, and Bear is a 13 yr old Min. Poodle. I like to work in the yard. I now have around 69 rose bushes in my back yard. 39 are miniature. I had more but lost some. The largest is a climber that is about 12 ft high x 18ft wide Seven Sisters Rose. It only blooms once a year in the spring, but it's worth it.

The Dog Days of Summer

Has it really been a year and half since I last posted.  So much has happened that I doubt I'll remember it all.

Melanie's wedding was very nice by the way.  I was able to take a lot of photos myself, even through we had a "real" photographer.

The Dallas area metro is having record breaking highs this summer.  I have been getting up extra early to work in my yard, otherwise it's too hot by 11:00am.    We  only swim at night and the pool is so warm it's not very refreshing.

I am waiting on a new lens for my camera.  Can't wait.  It's a Tamron AF 90mm Macro.  Hope to be posting some shots soon.

We have a new addition to the family.  "Grace" is a five and half month old puppy.  We were told she is Border Collie/Boxer mix, but everyone is saving Pitt Bull is in there somewhere.  She is extremely smart and is able to get out of almost all the fences we set up to keep her contained.    She took to Max, our 110 pound 8 year old Labrador, right away.  She sleep by him the first night and sleep all night with no accidents even though she was only 8 weeks old.  We gave them this large raw hide bone and they shared until it got towards the end.  Max wanted it, but Grace would sneak in, grab it and run across the yard dragging it behind her.
